researching for AP GOV

while researching, something popped in my head. You know how all those amnesty groups and overseas civilians were protesting the harsh treatment of some [confirment] terrorist-to-be's,

well, according to the Treaty of Geneva, we have ot treat all prisoners fairly. However, they, the terrorists, were the first ones to kill innocent civilian lives without conventional assalt tactics. Also, not allowed by Geneva. So technically, we SHOULD toss the conditions of the geneva treaty aside, since they didn't follow it either.

Does it say in the Geneva convention to react this way if the opposition does not comply with the Geneva convention?
